Attracting Your Own Success
What are you doing today to attract success when it comes to you and your music career? We are capable of "having it all" if we just decide what it is we want. I know it sounds silly doesn't it! What do we really want? So many indie artists out there know what they want... sell tons of CDs, have adoring fans, go on tour. I could go on and on. But what is success to you? Is it quitting your day job? Touring year-round? Playing before a packed house?
You can attract your own success by first having a written plan. Think about your definition of "success" and write it down. Or just fill in this blank, "I define success as ___________________________________". Don't skimp. Write it all down. What do you really want. Putting together a plan will do amazing things for you. It justifies everything. It will make you feel good. It will put you halfway there. Seriously!
Now the tough part, making it happen. My favorite saying is, "Just Do It". Why is that so hard for people? It's easy for me because I make it easy for me. It allows me to attract success. Remember there is no reward without risk. Take the plunge. Just do it! First step, a positive attitude. Having a great outlook on life does wonders. If you need help in this area go watch or read "The Secret". Second, surround yourself with people who believe in you and your music. You need support. There is nothing worse than getting shot down by your friends and family. But do persist because you need these people in your life. Show them what you are capable of! You need to work on attracting good things. If your thinking gets clouded with negativity, you will have a hard time attracting success.
Get out there. Just do it! Yes, you can!
