It's funny how when we are young we think we are invincible. Nothing will happen to us. We think our parents are so old. That we have so much time. Then one day we wake up to find out that was a lie! We are vulnerable to things in life. And we realize life is short.

Why waste time? Any time.
Why waste anymore time?

Stand up.
Move forward.
Make some noise!

And while I have you thinking... how is 2006 starting off? Have you gotten around to updating your band's web site? Have you mapped out that tour you want to do this year? Are you submitting to showcases and festivals?

I've been thinking a lot about 2006. GoGirlsMusic.com, which I founded, is now 10 years old. Wow, what an accomplishment! Every year I think how can I top the previous year. But I do. You can too. How? By doing what you set out to do. I know it's hard. It's easy to say you are going to do something, you are going to make things happen. Then life happens. Things come up. Your world gets crazy. Blah, blah, blah.

Time to stop that crap. Time to take charge and make things happen for YOU!

How many CDs did you sell in 2005? Resolve to sell more in '06. You can do it! Think about what steps you need to take to sell more. Write it down. Focus your efforts. Soon enough you'll see results.

How many people did you add to your email list in 2005? Work a bit harder to get more people on it in '06.

How many shows in 2005 were great shows? Commit to making every show you perform the best it can be.

Think about ways to make 2006 your best year ever.
